You will visit five sightseeing platforms and learn a lot of interesting facts about the ancient and medieval history of the city.
Historical facts about Vladimir. We will visit local ancient constructions and you will find out that the city resembles Jerusalem very closely. You will learn that in the medieval times Vladimir served as the capital of Rus' for the period of about 150 years. We will talk about the reasons and consequences of these events and will discuss the life of the city in that period.
The Golden Gate of Vladimir. We will show you the 800-year-old white-stone walls, as well as tell you about the destiny of the golden oaken doors and the origins of the name of this monument.
The history of the Assumption Cathedral. In ancient times this cathedral was considered to be the mother church. It was used as a prototype for the Cathedral of the Dormition located in the Moscow Kremlin.
The UNESCO world heritage monument — St. Dimitriy's Cathedral. You will have the opportunity to examine the white-stone ornaments and to learn about their meaning.
