Welcome to the world’s most remarkable Metro listed as an architectural monument of the Soviet period. 44 stations of the Moscow Metro are part of the cultural heritage. No wonder - ticket halls are decorated with stained-glass panels, arches and rare name plates of metro stations. This amazing interior design immediately catches the eye. A professional guide is certain to draw visitors’ attention to mysterious bronze figures that say much about real people and events of Soviet times.  The figures are also connected with some interesting superstitious beliefs. For instance, a lot of students occasionally line up in front of a bronze figure to pass successfully their end-of-term exams. To have a good day people come to a figure of a sailor with a small flag and touch the latter. Both residents and guests of the city tend to believe in jinxing things. In order to attract the luck new myths are created and legends handed down. Why not?
Besides the history, architecture and traditions, some helpful information about current developments in the Moscow Metro will  also be provided. Among them there are theme trains including “70 Years of the Great Victory”, “Sergei Yesenin and his poetry” that differ from other metro trains by peculiar interior and exterior design. The guide will be glad to answer any questions. Normally they are as follows: “What is the highest cruising speed per hour?”, “How can a driver stop a train with such a pinpoint accuracy?”, “What’s going on there at night?”  and many others.
Tunnels and service spaces of the Moscow Metro are not intended to be visited during the excursion!!

We had time to take photos, look at interesting details and hear info about history, architecture. A lot of information and nice little details. A must see in Moscow Metro I think.  Additional tip: choose the lunch time possible!!! You’ll have the space and the freedom to do plenty of pictures without many people.
